Job Description

We are seeking an Associate to join our team in Perth for a permanent, full-time role. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, timely legal advice and services in respect of Professional Conduct matters to our clients and members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, timely legal advice and services in respect of Professional Conduct matters.
  • Provide professional, thorough, and effective legal services to achieve the best outcome for our clients and members.
  • Provide oral and written legal advice to members and clients concerning professional conduct matters.
  • Represent members in legal proceedings and attend court, tribunals, or inquiries.
  • Participate in a roster for providing telephone medico-legal advice to members.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary legal qualifications.
  • Eligible to hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
  • Demonstrated post-admission experience in defence health and professional conduct-related litigation and insurance.
  • Previous experience in conducting all phases of professional conduct cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of prioritisation, time management, and self-management skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
  • Good computer literacy and competency to work in an electronic document management environment.
