About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Participation Development Officer to join our team in Sydney's South West. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing AFL programs to increase participation levels in Community Football, NAB AFL Auskick, NAB Superkick, and AFL NINES across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support junior clubs and Auskick centers with recruitment, volunteers, coaching, protocols, promotion, and venue hire
  • Drive program bookings to achieve aspirational growth targets
  • Deliver and run a variety of AFL programs in either school or after-school time, including school curriculum-linked programs, Auskick, Superkick, and all-abilities programs
  • Conduct promotional activities to meet participant targets, such as school assemblies and other promotional activities
  • Ensure each program is delivered in line with the program curriculum and provides a safe, friendly, and fun environment for all participants
  • Liaise with teachers, schools, and other program stakeholders
  • Facilitate AFL player visits and fan engagement activities
  • Contribute to key projects within and outside of the core role
  • Support and contribute to the success of the broader team
