Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument Designer to join its team in the Northern Territory, Australia, as part of its Operations APAC West business.

The successful candidate will work closely with the I&E Design Manager and the Wood core design team to act as the Instrument & Electrical Designer on brownfields oil & gas projects, taking responsibility for the design.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join Wood's newly opened Darwin office and contribute to the company's success in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas Brownfields Engineering / EPCM sector and relevant qualifications or industry experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and translating engineering concepts into practical designs
  • Leading and working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • A solutions mindset and ability to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities
