About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of projects and ensuring the successful execution of ancillary projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Provide support to stakeholders in completing project deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  • Project Management: Perform all activities related to project management, including organizing meetings, setting timelines, tracking progress, and providing regular reports.
  • Project Governance: Work with the Project Managers within the portfolio to ensure that project frameworks are up-to-date and reflective of each project's progress.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project reports to the Programme Manager and other stakeholders, ensuring that all key milestones are tracked and met.
  • Financial Management: Work with the Project Leadership team to ensure that budget frameworks are adhered to, and financial tracking is accurate.
  • Meetings and Communication: Facilitate and participate in project-related meetings, including daily project leadership stand-ups, risk, issue, and decision register reviews, and weekly meetings and workshops.
  • Document Management: Maintain the program/project governance artefacts, including those stored in SharePoint and Confluence.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A qualification in Project Management or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Project Coordinator (essential), with experience managing key aspects of small and large projects. Experience in a regulated industry would be an advantage.
  • Skills: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office and other MS applications, with the ability to create presentations using MS PowerPoint for multiple audiences.
  • Project Management Concepts: Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts, including project governance, risk management, and issue management.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build strong relationships to drive a positive working culture.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think outside the box about how to be more efficient and effective in what we do and how we do it.
