Risk Management Specialist

About the Role
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support by managing the corporate insurance portfolio, handling claims, coordinating asset insurance, overseeing renewals, and addressing information requests.
This includes fostering a culture of risk awareness by supporting the ongoing development of the organisation's Risk Management Framework and assisting with business continuity planning by coordinating impact analyses, documentation, and training.
Additionally, you will lead incident management for assets and insurance, drive continuous improvement in insurance and risk processes, and prepare regular reports for internal review.
As a proactive risk professional, you will be an integral part of shaping the organisation's approach to risk and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the corporate insurance portfolio, including coordinating asset insurance and overseeing renewals
- Handle claims and address information requests from stakeholders
- Support the development of the organisation's Risk Management Framework
- Assist with business continuity planning, including coordinating impact analyses, documentation, and training
- Lead incident management for assets and insurance
- Drive continuous improvement in insurance and risk processes
- Prepare regular reports for internal review
Requirements:
- Qualifications in insurance, risk management, business continuity, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of liability, property, and general insurance processes
- Familiarity with risk management standards and best practices
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in report writing
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment while effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in large or complex organisations
- Membership in a professional body such as the Risk Management Institute of Australia (RMIA) is advantageous
About You:
You are a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in risk management, corporate insurance, or business continuity, along with strong communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on your level of experience.
