Irrigation System Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Irrigation System Specialist to join our team in City of Wanneroo. The successful candidate will operate and maintain the city's irrigation systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs of irrigation systems
  • Inspect and test commercial irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Program irrigation controllers to meet operational requirements
  • Modify current irrigation systems or install new ones as needed
  • Operate small plant and equipment
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and plant
  • Liaise with supervisors and other service units
  • Respond to public enquiries and provide work reports
  • Identify and report potential hazards to supervisors
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in operations and maintenance of commercial irrigation systems
  • Proven communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor
  • C class vehicle licence
  • Safety awareness certification
  • National Police Clearance less than three months old
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety measures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of bore, pump, and motor systems
