Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a dedicated kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Oversee the ordering and inventory of food ingredients, ensuring that we have the necessary supplies to meet our culinary needs.
  • Develop and implement menu planning, ensuring that our offerings are appealing and meet the dietary needs of our clients.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety protocols and regulations.
  • Train and develop staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with our production team to ensure that our kitchen operations are aligned with our overall business goals.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizenship or, Full Australian working rights
  • A SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification
  • Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, GFS, Outlook)
  • Excellent practical and theoretical background in all areas of the kitchen i.e.: Hot Kitchens, Cold Kitchens, Pastry / Bakery, Butchery and Banquets dealing with large numbers of guests
  • You have extensive knowledge of menu costing, recipe cards implementation and wage control.
