Job Title:

Senior Library Officer - Reading Room Operations

Job Summary:

The library is seeking a skilled Senior Library Officer to lead reading room operations and contribute to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective rostering and scheduling processes for reading rooms, phone services, and information desks.
  • Develop and enhance roster procedures, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Deliver staff training and support out-of-hours staff with a monthly newsletter.
  • Contribute to reporting and participate in service evaluations.
  • Cultivate internal and external relationships, driving innovation and service improvement initiatives.
  • Support reference services across reading rooms, online, and phone channels.
  • Collaborate on Learning Programs and web content development, including Research Guides.

Requirements:

A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Information Management, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related fields is required.

Working Conditions:

This role includes regular evening and weekend work during the library's advertised opening hours.
