We are a team of accessibility and Universal Design experts with national and international expertise. Our work has been instrumental in delivering projects throughout Australia and around the world.
We collaborate with clients to find practical solutions that benefit buildings, projects, and communities. With a culture focused on delivering exceptional design outcomes and advice across every stage of a building project, we provide expert services to ensure all projects reflect the latest approaches to accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist directors and managers in delivering services within timeframes, cost, and quality.
- Source clients and identify opportunities for new business markets or clients.
- Develop fee proposals and liaise with clients to identify project scope and client needs.
- Provide proactive approach to project delivery and client communication.
- Review, assess, and provide recommendations on various stages of developments, including out-of-scope works, on-site assessments, and reporting.
- Manage workflow and work output within client deadlines.
- Achieve minimum monthly invoicing target.
Qualifications:
- Advice and interpretation of Access provisions in Building Regulations and associated documents.
- Advice and interpretation of Livable Housing Design Standards.
- Participation in negotiations with Building Regulatory Authorities.
- Appraisal and assessment of Development Approval conditions.
- Selection of materials and construction methods to achieve compliance with Building Regulations.
- Access audits and appraisal of existing and new buildings.
- Determine out-of-scope works under BCA guidelines.
- Preparation of Fee Proposals.
- Progress reports and workflow reports.
- Assessment of all types of buildings for access compliance.
- Conduct Access compliance desktop reviews of design documentation.
- Prepare technical Access reporting throughout the design and development approvals process.
- Carry out site inspection and building access audits/appraisals.
- Establish access upgrade strategies for buildings.
- Effective use of resources and materials in design development of buildings.
- Prepare performance solutions for variations to deem to satisfy provisions relating to access.
- Maintain project files and records in line with established business management systems.
- Seek and report on new business opportunities for the company in relation to accessibility.
