Disability Support Worker Job

We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and care to individuals with disabilities.

  1. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop personalized support plans.
  2. Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as prompting, medication administration, household assistance and outings.
  3. Take detailed notes and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
  4. Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality and dignity while working with clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in disability support or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays.

Please note that a minimum of Certificate III in Disability/Community Services or relevant industry experience is highly regarded but not essential. You must also hold a current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) and Manual Handling certification.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Disability/Community Services or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR).
