About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to take your career in planning to the next level as a Senior Planner in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing development applications and subdivision referrals within statutory timeframes;
  • Preparing high-quality reports based on the required standards for Council, JDAP and DRP;
  • Providing support to team members as required;
  • Responding to customer queries in a timely manner and in accordance with organisational values;
  • Exercising delegation on planning applications in accordance with the organisation's Delegated Authority Register; and
  • Guiding and mentoring planners and their workloads.
About You

The successful appointee must be an adaptable and experienced Planner who thrives working in a busy and change-driven organisation. Applicants must demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Urban and Regional Planning;
  • Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable;
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the application of planning legislation;
  • A high-level working knowledge of complex issues affecting land use management and demonstrated ability to analyse and proactively resolve issues that involve a number of competing priorities with minimal guidance;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively rather than competitively and with a client focus, utilising effective communication skills;
  • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks;
  • Strong report writing skills; and
  • C Class Driver's Licence.
