Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled medical professional to join our team at Mornington Island.

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be working alongside 1-2 General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Aboriginal health workers, and administrative staff. The role requires working Monday-Friday only, with regular hours from 8:30am to 5pm, including one hour for lunch.

The successful candidate will have experience in using Best Practice software, although training will be provided on the new Communicare system due to be implemented soon.

Our team offers comprehensive support from the local hospital, which provides 24/7 SMO cover and has 11 beds (4 ED, 7 ward). We also provide private accommodation with basic cooking facilities and shared laundry facilities. While there is no WIFI available at the accommodation, Telstra is the only carrier that receives signal, and we have WIFI at the clinic if needed.

Linen is provided, ensuring a comfortable living experience during your stay.

Work Arrangements

Our work arrangement includes:

  • Monday-Friday only
  • Regular hours from 8:30am to 5pm
  • One hour for lunch

Best Practice software is currently used, but Communicare will be implemented soon, and experience with it is preferred.

Credentials

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold FRACGP or VR status with Medicare and current registration with AHPRA.
