Logistics Coordinator Job Description

This Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services within our organization. The successful candidate will coordinate logistics objectives, ensure accurate record-keeping, and collaborate with teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics operations to meet timely and cost-effective delivery requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Seek quotes from suppliers to optimize logistics costs.
  • Prepare manifests for freight services loaded and dispatched from the Welshpool facility.
  • Coordinate transportation and delivery solutions to ensure reliable and consistent transport.
  • Administer support for the Australia West Assets Teams, including cash forecasting and transaction processing.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a similar role supporting a busy logistics and distribution team.
  • Experience in the mining industry desirable.
  • JDE experience advantageous.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker.
  • Ability to work within a team and be flexible with a 'can do' attitude.
