**Job Title:** Community Mental Health Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals and families affected by mental illness, providing specialist assessment, treatment, care, and support.

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with colleagues to deliver client-focused therapeutic approaches for recovery-oriented, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist alcohol and other drug assessment, therapeutic intervention, care, and support to people accessing the GSSM Local service.
  • To work in tandem with clinical and other supports assisting service users to access the full range of interventions across the care continuum.
  • To engage people experiencing complex issues, provide access and integrate specialist supports, and develop community networks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Postgraduate Diploma (or higher) in Addiction Studies (or equivalent/related field).
  • At least 5 years of experience working in the Alcohol and Other Drug sector.
  • General understanding and working knowledge of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022.
