Aircraft Maintenance Leadership Position

The Opportunity has arisen for a skilled individual to join our maintenance team in Nowra.

To succeed, you will require exceptional professionalism, integrity and work ethic while possessing a visionary skill-set to lead the team into the future.

Please note that due to the operational nature of this role, there is limited opportunity to work remotely.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage aircraft maintenance engineers and support staff to carry out aircraft line and base maintenance activities.
  • In conjunction with the 145 Responsible Manager, ensure technical workforce meets MOE and DASR requirements.
  • Manage Risk Assessment and Change Management requirements prior to enacting new maintenance procedures and introducing new equipment.
  • Coordinate RA reviews, short-term detachments and aircraft recoveries.
  • Manage employees leave, shift rosters, time sheets, security clearances, authorisations and training.
  • Conduct recruitment, cost management and procurement activities in support of the program.

Your checklist for success:

  • Customer service and safety focused.
  • Able to continually reinforce and improve performance and work processes through feedback, problem solving and idea generation.
  • Skills to develop and implement new policies and procedures.
  • A strong background and knowledge of DASR 145 and M requirements.
  • A minimum of five years military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and people management skills.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office products and familiarity with computer-based maintenance systems.
  • Hold Certificate IV in Aero Skills (desirable).

You will undergo vetting process for a Government security clearance sponsored by us. Therefore, you must disclose all relevant information and have the ability to verify your background.
