Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Painting Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced painter to showcase their expertise in surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguard surrounding areas from paint splashes by assembling scaffolding, ladders, and protective drop sheets.
  • Prepare surfaces by stripping old paint or wallpaper, repairing timberwork, filling gaps and cracks, and smoothing and sealing for a clean finish.
  • Mix paints to specified colours by combining pigments, oils, thinners, and drying agents to achieve the desired consistency and drying time.
  • Apply paints, varnishes, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Install wallpaper, carefully matching patterns and trimming edges for a neat result.
  • Clean tools and maintain a tidy worksite after completing tasks.
  • Perform minor window repairs and replace broken glass in wooden and metal frames as needed.
  • Lay and repair wall and floor tiles when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in painting.
  • Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification).
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
  • Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and spray systems.
  • The ability to work safely and efficiently, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
  • Good communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude.
