About the Role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist to join our Ground and Underground Engineering Practice in Australia. As a key member of our groundwater team, you will play a crucial role in delivering designs for major infrastructure projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead groundwater capability and delivery, engaging with clients such as state road authorities and water infrastructure clients.
  • Focus on natural water resources, facilitating groundwater inputs for urban infrastructure projects.
  • Identify key groundwater clients in target markets and develop strategic client relationships.
  • Build and lead a team of talented individuals to grow the capability.
  • Support the wider water resources team and develop and implement a groundwater strategy.
  • Train and develop junior staff in groundwater engineering.
Requirements
  • Passion for re-imagining engineering and development interactions with the natural environment.
  • Good understanding of the groundwater and engineering industry in Australia.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to innovate and solve complex problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, numeracy, and ability to learn new software.
  • Prior experience in software packages such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and Geo Studio 2 D.
  • Demonstrable experience in undertaking groundwater modelling for various projects.
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology, Engineering, or an applicable earth sciences discipline.
