Job Overview

The Night Shift Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of production operations. This key position is responsible for overseeing frontline supervisory functions, encompassing safety protocols, corrective action, employee relations, housekeeping, and performance reviews for hourly employees.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fostering a culture of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility while driving production efficiency
  • Developing strategic staffing guidelines to optimize human resource utilization while controlling labor costs
  • Maintaining high leadership and supervisory skills, including direct report development, performance evaluations, and addressing feedback
  • Promoting continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S and conversion cost reduction
  • Providing technical expertise and training to shift personnel in areas like line setup/operation, testing, tooling, troubleshooting, and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of progressively responsible supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with the ability to educate and train operators and technicians
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, mentor, and train employees on a regular basis
  • Possesses current quality standards and checks, proficient in STOP and 5S principles
  • Excellent attendance record
