Cement Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cement Process Operator to join our team in Gladstone. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our cement manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and control the cement manufacturing process, ensuring optimal production rates and product quality.
- Operate and maintain plant equipment, including production mobile and fixed plant equipment.
- Coordinate with production process operators and shift team leaders to ensure effective running of the plant.
- Act on control system alarms and escalate to plant resources to troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment as required.
- Monitor and maintain emissions levels below baseline compliance levels.
- Perform general housekeeping activities as needed.
To be eligible for this role, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Control Room Operator/CRR in cement manufacturing process.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in the cement industry.
- Certificate level qualifications or higher in a related area are preferred.
- Working knowledge of all available production tools, including operating procedures, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- The ability to use critical thinking and sound judgment in quick decision-making.
- Complex problem-solving skills, demonstrated through success in a central control room.
- The ability to work well under pressure and maintain quality decision-making skills.
- An elevated level of computer literacy skills and ability to operate job-related systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
