Job Description:

As a strategic leader in education, this pivotal role ensures the learning needs of students are identified, supported, and monitored through tailored individual support plans. This includes leading the transition and integration of students with learning difficulties from middle to senior school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying students requiring learning support and developing individual support plans (ISPs). They will also coordinate the LIFT Plus program and support staff in implementing consistent strategies.

Additionally, the incumbent will manage flexible and modified SACE learning plans in collaboration with the SACE Coordinator, liaise with external agencies and industry partners to support student pathways, and provide strategic direction for inclusive education and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the transition and integration of students with learning difficulties from Middle to Senior School
  • Identify students requiring learning support and develop Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
  • Coordinate the LIFT Plus program and support staff in implementing consistent strategies
  • Manage flexible and modified SACE learning plans in collaboration with the SACE Coordinator
  • Liaise with external agencies and industry partners to support student pathways
  • Provide strategic direction for inclusive education and best practices
  • Support staff in curriculum adjustments and pedagogical modifications
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records for NCCD reporting
  • Collaborate with parents/caregivers to support student learning and transitions
  • Teach students requiring learning support and contribute to their academic growth
About You:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and/or Special Education
  • Experience in learning support and inclusive education, preferably in a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of SACE curriculum and Special Provisions
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
