We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to the Western Harbour Tunnel project.
Project DetailsThe new Western Harbour Tunnel will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange and cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton.
The project scope includes approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate excavation activities for safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
- Assist in planning materials, equipment, and systems for efficient excavation operations
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders during planning and execution
- Monitor budgets and schedules, including cost control and lookahead planning
- Interpret excavation-specific design plans and geotechnical drawings
- Support early-career engineers through mentorship and knowledge-sharing
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience in excavation or underground construction projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety and compliance
