Technical Product Management Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to drive the success of our commercial lighting and consumer electronics divisions.

This key role involves collaboration with teams across Australia, Asia, and Europe to support product approvals, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead the development and launch of new lighting products.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical capabilities, solutions-focused approach, and eagerness to contribute in a dynamic environment.

  • Support global team with product approvals and ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand regulations.
  • Liaise with international suppliers and internal teams to meet product specifications and compliance standards.
  • Lead the development and launch of new lighting products, including advanced testing, quality assurance, performance analysis, and product design improvements.
  • Maintain quality control processes across all products.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements from relevant authorities.

This position requires a suitably qualified person with experience using electrical safety standards for regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Trade qualification in an electrical discipline and at least 4 years' experience.
  • Advanced diploma or equivalent qualification in an electrical discipline and at least 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Degree qualification in electrical engineering and at least 2 years' experience.

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit design.
  • Experience importing electrical products into Australia and New Zealand and managing related compliance processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to use diagnostic and testing equipment.

This is a senior-level position requiring strong leadership skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent communication skills. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, travel, and meeting deadlines.
