Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Professional Services engagements with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs, including project scope, technical specifications, and solution architecture.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while representing Fortinet during onsite client interactions.
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security solutions in various environments.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while adhering to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, providing mentorship and training to both Fortinet and client technical staff.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Fortinet technologies to deliver best practices during project execution.
  • Maintain expert-level technical proficiency in key areas related to Fortinet products, including Network Security Infrastructure, VPN technologies, and Web Application Firewalls.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation, including whitepapers and technical notes, as necessary.
  • Engage with Fortinet's business and technology partners to share knowledge and insights.
  • Communicate relevant project updates to Fortinet management as required.
  • Utilize strong communication and conflict resolution skills to address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Adapt to changing workloads and demonstrate resilience in managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Analyze technical challenges, implement troubleshooting methodologies, and identify root causes for effective remediation.
  • Follow directives from supervisors and team leads while maintaining high levels of efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Employ effective time-management strategies to optimize productivity.
  • Leverage critical thinking to devise solutions for technical challenges.
  • Timely resolution and escalation of issues as necessary.
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as timesheets and project reports, promptly.
  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation is completed, including Statements of Work and customer satisfaction surveys.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current NV-2 government security clearance.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably with a network security vendor.
  • 5+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet support or administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with network security products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the security threat landscape.
  • Administrator-level knowledge of Windows, UNIX, or Linux.
  • Previous experience in technical support or sales engineering is advantageous.
  • Network security certifications (Fortinet NSE4 or higher) are required.
  • Additional certifications from vendors such as Cisco, F5, or AWS are a plus.
  • Solid understanding of core Internet protocols and applications.
  • General knowledge of networking and security protocols.
  • Experience with scripting languages and APIs.
  • Ability to accommodate customer schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Team-oriented with the capability to work remotely and engage with distributed teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project.
  • Ability to maintain focus and composure under pressure.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex network and security environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management certifications are beneficial.
