Job Description: Assets Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assets Manager to lead and shape asset strategies in a pivotal strategic position. As the Assets Manager, you will develop and implement a robust asset management strategy for Underground mobile assets.

  • You will oversee lifecycle planning, fleet composition, and asset specifications to ensure fit-for-purpose equipment drives revenue for our hire business.
  • Manage asset performance and proactively drive ongoing improvement.
  • Lead the team to design and execute maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
  • Proactively transition the business to a more planned and predictable maintenance approach.
  • Drive compliance with legislative, technical, and safety standards.
  • Partner with Commercial and Planning teams to align asset lifecycle costing with business goals.
Salary:

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A strong background in asset management, maintenance, or reliability, preferably within mining.
  • Proven ability to develop and critically evaluate asset and maintenance strategies.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management systems.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Technical knowledge of underground coal legislation and equipment standards.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred).
