The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in teaching Secondary English/Humanities and be committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum aligned with the Victorian curriculum, creating engaging lesson plans, and promoting critical thinking and inquiry-based learning among students.

• Design and deliver a cohesive English/Humanities program that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines to create interdisciplinary projects and activities that foster cross-curricular connections.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance student understanding and critical thinking skills, encouraging them to think creatively and analytically.
• Maintain ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in humanities education and teaching methodologies.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A proven track record of teaching Secondary English/Humanities in Australia within a Secondary school setting.
• Current VIT registration is essential.
• Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $115,000, dependent on expertise, as well as opportunities for professional growth and leadership within the school community.
