Role Summary

This is a high-impact, hands-on position offering full commercial ownership of an operation. The successful candidate will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong business partnering experience and the confidence to operate at both detail and strategic levels.


About the Job

The role involves leading the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles. The incumbent will be responsible for full ownership of financial and month-end reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of results. They will also prepare monthly performance packs and present to national finance and executive leadership. Additionally, they will review project milestones and capital spend tracking, support tenders and bid submissions in conjunction with regional leaders, develop insights through dashboards and commercial analysis to support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement and enable transformation across a complex and fast-moving environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles
  • Full ownership of financial and month-end reporting
  • Preparing monthly performance packs and presenting to national finance and executive leadership
  • Reviewing project milestones and capital spend tracking
  • Supporting tenders and bid submissions
  • Developing insights through dashboards and commercial analysis

Requirements
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Proven commercial finance experience, ideally within construction, civil, infrastructure, or contracting sectors
  • Strong month-end and financial reporting capability
  • Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable with legacy systems and ERP
  • Collaborative, resilient, and comfortable in a transforming environment
  • Confident communicator who can challenge and influence when needed
