Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Steward to join our team. As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Action cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas, and scullery to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our staff and guests.
  • Operate the dishwashing machine according to manufacturer's instructions to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Contribute to cost control by conserving energy and water, as well as using cleaning materials efficiently.
  • Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment desirable.
  • Understanding of food safety requirements.
  • Previous cleaning, customer service, or hospitality experience.
  • A high standard of grooming and presentation.
  • The ability and flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, early mornings, and late nights.
  • Own transport is preferred due to the requirements of the shifts.
