About the Role

We are seeking an experienced News Producer to join our editorial team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of news productions, ensuring seamless execution and high standards.

  • You will oversee the control room and lineup skills to craft compelling news stories, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality content.
  • Your expertise in newsroom experience will enable you to manage time pressures and meet multiple daily deadlines with organizational skills and resilience.
  • As a key member of our team, you will contribute to editorial decisions by identifying and pitching stories that resonate with our audience.
Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities as a News Producer will include:

  • Crafting engaging stories that captivate viewers, writing, producing, and editing content for digital and social channels to expand reach and impact.
  • Managing story development, script approvals, graphics, and animations from concept to broadcast.
  • Leading the production of news special events, showcasing our commitment to excellence.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • In-depth knowledge of current affairs and issues relevant to our audience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of newsroom experience, preferably in a leadership or management capacity.
  • A degree in Journalism or a related field is highly desirable.
