Job Description

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in driving environmental sustainability within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable practices that minimize our ecological footprint.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability principles and be able to apply them to real-world problems. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing sustainability processes and systems
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of project sustainability management plans

You will also be expected to provide advice on sustainability risks and requirements, research and implement sustainability initiatives, and train and audit project teams to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in sustainability or environmental roles
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Sustainability, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Science, or Natural Resource Management
  • ISCA Sustainability Accreditation (desirable)
  • Cert II Erosion and Sediment Control (Green card) or equivalent experience
  • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships on-site
