Assistant Venue Manager

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • • Assist the Venue Manager in overseeing daily operations, including site set-up and pack-down
  • • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the bump-in and bump-out production schedule
  • • Support and lead a team of casual onsite staff
  • • Recruit, train, and develop staff
  • • Manage food & beverage operations (ordering, invoice processing, and stock control)
  • • Oversee sponsorship activations and ensure contractual deliverables are delivered to a high standard
  • • Prepare rosters and manage timesheets
  • • Oversee AV operations, including screen and audio set-up and content management
  • • Implement management plans and ensure WHS compliance

About You:
The ideal candidate will bring:

  • • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a management role
  • • Previous experience in food and beverage and customer service
  • • Cinema or event management experience (advantageous)
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • • Initiative, attention to detail, and strong problem solving skills
  • • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • • Experience leading and motivating a casual workforce
  • • Strong stakeholder management skills and time management skills
  • • A collaborative approach with a can-do attitude
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • • Required: Current RSA and valid driver's license
