Waste Management Operator

Key Role in Waste Management

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our team at a Boral Recycling site in Ravenhall VIC.

This is a hands-on role that plays a crucial part in the daily operations of the site. You will primarily operate a Sales Loader but will also be involved in manual labor tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Loading road trucks with finished product
  • Pushing off tip heads for inbound materials
  • Loading materials for a mobile pug mill
  • Liaising with the Site Manager and Weighbridge Operator
  • General site duties including shoveling, lifting (10–15kg), plant cleaning, and minor repairs
  • Supporting the team with continuous improvement and compliance with safety and environmental standards

You will work closely with the Site Manager and Weighbridge Operator to ensure the smooth operation of the site. This is a permanent, full-time role with stable Monday–Friday hours.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience operating Sales Loaders and/or working with mobile crushing or blending plants
  • Sales Loader and Articulated Dump Truck licences (preferred – training provided if needed)
  • A team player mindset – you will be part of a small crew of 3 most days
  • A can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to pitch in when needed
