Job Title: Tenure Management Officer – Mining Project

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tenure Management Officer to support tenure compliance and land management for a major mining industry project in Brisbane.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will administer mining and exploration tenures, licences, and permits. They will monitor tenure compliance with state legislation, conditions, and reporting obligations. Additionally, they will coordinate and prepare tenure applications, renewals, variations, and surrenders. The role requires maintaining accurate tenure registers and ensuring data integrity.

The Tenure Management Officer will provide advice and reporting to project managers and senior leaders on tenure status, risks, and obligations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in tenure management, land administration, or related fields within the mining/resources sector.
  • Knowledge of QLD mining tenure, compliance, and Indigenous land access requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tenure management systems and MS Office Suite.
