Position Overview:

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a strategic leader to take on the role of Head of the Faculty of Creative, Business & Technology at Box Hill Institute.

The Head of Faculty will be responsible for providing exceptional leadership and oversight of the Faculty's diverse programs and educational pathways, ensuring effective delivery and fostering student advancement. This role is crucial in maintaining high levels of satisfaction among stakeholders regarding educational outcomes. The Faculty encompasses various disciplines, including Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Horticulture, Design, Hairdressing & Beauty, Business Information Management, Management, and Music.

In this senior leadership position, the Head of Faculty will cultivate a culture of educational excellence among teaching staff, advocating for continuous enhancement of teaching methodologies that improve student satisfaction and overall experience.

As a vital member of the Education Delivery Leadership Team, the Head of Faculty will ensure that the faculty meets its agreed-upon objectives related to student performance, academic standards, budget management, and growth initiatives. This role will also contribute to the development of policies that improve the Institute's overall effectiveness and provide strategic counsel to represent Box Hill Institute.

The Head of Faculty will play a key role in ensuring that Box Hill Institute maintains its esteemed reputation as a premier education provider, making it the preferred choice for education and training. This includes establishing and nurturing productive relationships with relevant industries, government bodies, and agencies, as well as managing all personnel involved in program delivery.

Candidate Profile:

Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (or equivalent) along with substantial experience in the educational sector. Proven track record in a similar leadership role. Relevant management qualifications or a commitment to obtain such qualifications are highly valued. Demonstrated success in formulating and executing growth-oriented strategies. Recognized achievements in delivering a high-quality educational portfolio. Strong strategic leadership and operational management capabilities to effectively guide future success, utilizing business acumen and managing organizational change. Comprehensive understanding of the VET education sector in Australia, coupled with a solid appreciation of the challenges involved in managing and advancing a contemporary faculty in a dynamic environment.
