Job Overview

We have exciting opportunities for motivated and reliable Range Operators to work with our team based at Shoal Water Bay.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing range and training area services within the base service area, requiring driving in and out of the ASMTI Expansion Area.

About the Role

This role involves attending daily briefings, using Defence computers or paper-based systems to read and advise on customer booking enquiries, facilitating movement onto and off the range area, conducting range maintenance as allocated, and being a member of the Fire Response Team.

Key Requirements
  • Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)
  • Intermediate literacy and computer skills
  • Previous experience with transmission radio and telephone systems
  • Current MR (or higher) Australian Drivers Licence
  • Workplace first aid qualification to National Certificate Level 2 standard
  • Operator licences for all Range vehicles and equipment
  • Fire Qualifications in Wildfire Response and Suppression
