Process Computing Engineer Role

A leading Manufacturing organisation is seeking a skilled Process Computing Engineer to join their team for an initial contract role with the view to extend, working on a business-critical program with the potential for long-term continuation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Control and Information Management systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Oversee process modeling systems for plant setups and adaptations, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand business needs and implement improvements, driving process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support production and quality targets, delivering capital projects and adhering to engineering design processes.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in computer and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in a process control computing environment, with a strong understanding of HMI/SCADA & Historian Applications, Databases & Integration, Ethernet & IP Networking, PLC, DCS, RTU, I/O & IoT systems, and Computing Hardware.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to design and implement custom solutions and share knowledge and experience.
