At Silverchain Group Limited, we are currently seeking experienced and passionate Home Care Support Workers to join our Aged Care Team.

About the Role

We have multiple permanent part-time roles available, offering flexible working hours with contracts ranging from a minimum of 20-30 hours per week. Our busiest period of care delivery is between Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm.

As a Home Care Support Worker, you will deliver exceptional care and support to our clients, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible. Responsibilities include providing personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, toileting, etc., as well as other support services like medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance/general housekeeping tasks, and social support in the community.

You will follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, therefore having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously, via a mobile app, will be essential.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Those with a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience. Those without a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE).
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.
  • Align to Silverchain Groups COVID-19 vaccination policy which requires evidence of vaccination against COVID-19, or evidence of an authorised medical exemption.

Our salary range for this role is estimated at $72,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on a 25-hour contract per week.
