About the Role：
This role contributes to the success of the City by leading sustainable urban development. The role involves advising on land use and development planning matters including cultural heritage and environmental planning applicable to the city.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Promote the City as a provider of innovative, efficient, equitable, respectful, and quality services.
  • Collaborate with bodies like the State Government, Local Government Association of Tasmania, Tasmanian Heritage Council, Office of the Coordinator-General, and Consumer, Building and Occupational Services on development-related issues.

What You'll Need：

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Urban or Regional Planning or a related field enabling Full Membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Significant experience in land use, development planning, and cultural heritage assessment.
  • A highly experienced leader fostering a collaborative, innovative, and agile culture.
