About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team for a variety of high-profile events in Melbourne. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property at these events. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading provider in the industry and to be at the forefront of event security.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide crowd control and ensure the safety of attendees at large-scale events
- Monitor entry points, conduct bag checks, and enforce event access policies
- Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies
- Collaborate with event staff and law enforcement to manage potential risks
- Maintain a visible presence to deter disruptive behavior or unauthorized access
- Ensure compliance with event-specific security protocols and procedures
Requirements
- Current VIC Security licence with crowd control
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Current First Aid certificate
- Dedication, reliability, and a commitment to security
- Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with approachability
- High level computer literacy skills
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
