Position Overview
We are seeking qualified Psychologists to join our innovative Persistent Pain Service. This role is integral to our mission of supporting individuals dealing with persistent non-cancer pain through various therapeutic programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify psychosocial factors affecting patients' pain experiences and evaluate their readiness for participation in intensive group programs.
- Deliver psycho-educational sessions aimed at enhancing patients' self-management skills and improving their pain treatment strategies.
Essential Qualifications
- Current registration with AHPRA as a psychologist or provisional psychologist.
- Proven experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
- For provisional psychologists, a primary or secondary supervisor must be established.
Employment Details
This position offers part-time permanent employment, requiring 24 hours of work per week.
