Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineering Specialist

Job Description:

As a senior electrical engineering specialist, you will work alongside other technical authorities to collaborate with stakeholders, conduct system analyses, and review and support the approval of technical proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive systems analysis to derive function, performance, and interface requirements that meet safety standards.
  • Engage in system design activities, including trade studies, to ensure design artefacts are compatible and consistent across all subsystems.
  • Perform technical risk analysis as required to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure assigned electrical systems/subsystems are developed and implemented according to appropriate standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality systems integration and mission support solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Electronic, Communications, Computer Systems).
  • Experience in an engineering discipline, including involvement in one or more of the following practices: Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, and Verification and Validation.
  • Experience in effectively representing engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Practical knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business, with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
  • Experience in product configuration control.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
