Electrical Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Authorities, you will work closely with stakeholders to conduct engineering assessments, review and support the approval of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and provide innovative solutions to current project phases.

Main Responsibilities
  • As the technical interface between the customer, management, and implementation team, conduct systems analysis to derive function, performance, and interface requirements to meet electrical safety parameters.
  • Engage with System Design activities (including trade studies) to ensure that design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product, consistent across all subsystems, delivering system design to meet performance requirements.
  • Perform technical risk analysis as required in your work as the electrical engineer to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure assigned electrical systems/sub-systems are developed and implemented according to appropriate standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure our reputation as a trusted partner in delivering systems integration and mission support solutions to customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electronic, Communications, Computer Systems, Cyber).
  • Experience in an Engineering discipline, including involvement in one or more of the following Engineering practices: Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, and Verification and Validation.
  • Experience in effectively representing Engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business, with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
  • Experience in product configuration control.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
