Accounting Support Role

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity as an accounting professional in a consumer finance organisation. The role offers the chance to shape the financial backbone of a growing operation and be part of a pivotal phase of scale and transformation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Daily reconciliations of funds flows across multiple channels, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Taking ownership of accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bills and on-time payment. Liaising with suppliers and banks as required.
  • Developing and maintaining supplier master data.
  • Daily management and accountability for the Finance mailbox.
  • Management of prepayments schedules, fixed asset registers, accruals, and associated month-end reconciliations.
  • Supporting the future implementation of financial systems and potential upgrades including accounts payable workflow automation.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, data, and product.
  • Assisting in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
About You
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance and a desire to undertake CA/CPA pathway.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Confident and highly-skilled user of accounting platforms including Xero, Excel and AP automation tools.
  • A high degree of comfort working in a manual environment, with a commitment to evolving existing processes.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
