About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Safety Expert to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Head of HR to lead and coordinate our work health and safety programs.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to our clients and team members, focusing on injury management, compliance, and safety training. You will be responsible for putting together a WHS framework, setting up reporting processes, and managing compliance and reporting for incidents and claims.

You will act as the main contact for WHS inquiries, ensuring clear and accessible communication, and coordinate with stakeholders on return-to-work (RTW) processes and incident reporting. Additionally, you will maintain up-to-date records and training materials, and provide WHS training to foster a safe, supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive WHS framework
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance on WHS matters
  • Manage and investigate incidents and claims
  • Coordinate RTW processes and ensure timely returns to work
  • Maintain accurate records and training materials
  • Deliver WHS training and workshops
Requirements
  • Cert IV in WHS or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in WHS/OHS in Australia
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
  • Experience with WHS systems, MS Suite, and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working in the Aged Care/Disability sector or community services

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum
