We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Worker/Companion Carer to join our team in the Wyalkatchem area.

As a Personal Care Worker/Companion Carer, your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized care and support to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

You will work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and assisting with daily activities as outlined in the Client Care Plan.
  • Working collaboratively with the client's care team to identify and address client care needs.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and team members.
  • Supporting clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence.
  • Maintaining accurate daily client notes and promptly reporting any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.
Requirements
  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent).
  • Current Senior First Aid [HLTAID011], CPR [HLTAID009] and Manual Handling [HLTWHS005].
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  • NDIS Screening (or willingness to get).
  • Strong expertise in mental health care.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of person-centred care.
  • Multilingual abilities are a bonus.
