We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of Emergency Medical Call Taker. This dynamic position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, recording, and progressing emergency phone calls made to Triple Zero (000) while providing lifesaving first aid advice.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping others and willing to learn and develop their skills in a unique and rewarding environment.
About the Role
No two days will be the same as an Emergency Medical Call Taker. Every shift and every call has the potential to be the most rewarding or the most challenging you've taken.
You will work in a 24/7 rotating roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and we are looking for individuals who share our values and are passionate about making a difference in their community.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a high level of resilience. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of resilience and adaptability
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development
