Medical Equipment Specialist

This role involves coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical devices, including OR1 and telepresence equipment. As a Medical Equipment Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues efficiently and ensure seamless operations.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in electronics, electrical engineering, or biomedical engineering are essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of biomedical equipment, including operation and use of biomedical test equipment, is preferred.
  • Strong electronic skills, including understanding common circuits and component-level troubleshooting, are required.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, carry out fine electronic and mechanical repairs, and perform complex soldering tasks.
  • Fault-finding skills in technical equipment are highly valued.

As a Medical Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and repair services both onsite and in-house, including diagnostics, maintenance, software updates, and remote assistance. Compliance with safety standards (AS/NZS3551) and quality policies (ISO9001) is also crucial.

Key responsibilities include prioritizing and responding to customer technical inquiries promptly, communicating clearly at each service stage, estimating service costs for quotations, and preparing equipment properly for international repairs when needed.

Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

They should be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
