Bechtel is a leading global engineering, procurement, and construction company that has been helping customers complete projects since 1898.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our Mining & Metals Project team in Perth, Western Australia. This is a strategic project for a top-tier mining customer, and we are looking for a skilled professional who can prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with the project team to establish and maintain schedules for specific discipline areas or specialties. You will perform schedule development duties, including establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining work activity duration, and developing required job expenditure.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and validating subcontractor schedules, identifying critical activities, and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations
  • Establish and maintain schedules for specific discipline areas or specialties
  • Perform schedule development duties, including WBS establishment and job expenditure development
  • Monitor and validate subcontractor schedules
  • Identify critical activities and update functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis
  • Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems and multiple discipline-specific software applications
