Job Opportunity

Mid North Coast Local Health District is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team.

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary range of $109,684.57 - $113,243.15 per annum.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing clinical education and training within the ward to promote competence of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement education programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Mentor and support new graduates, students, and experienced nurses to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Facilitate orientation and ongoing area competency assessments and monitor compliance to mandatory training.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice standards are maintained.

Requirements:

  • A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Competence in delivering adult education at a ward level and understanding and learning and assessment principles.
