Key Maintenance Role

The organization is seeking a proactive and experienced maintenance fitter to join the team at Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance across the site, including servicing and repair of bulk storage, production, processing, blow moulding and packaging areas.

Key Responsibilities:

These include implementing preventative and routine maintenance schedules to achieve machine and line efficiency, responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime, and monitoring and contributing to developing new maintenance schedules for equipment, plant and other relevant data to identify faults and take action as necessary.

Additional responsibilities include performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions, investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes, and general maintenance within a factory environment.

Qualifications and skills required include a relevant trade qualification and previous experience in the food, dairy, packaging or process-related industries. Candidates must also have knowledge and skills in fitting and turning, excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, strong communication skills both written and verbal, solid knowledge and focus on quality, and knowledge of GMP within the food industry.

This position will require working a rotating roster with flexibility as required and a reasonable amount of overtime.
