Role Overview

The Senior Analytics Strategist will contribute to the financial performance of the CPI by providing key performance insights and strategic recommendations. The role will support the CPI team by building and maintaining advanced analytics capabilities, providing data science support, and driving profitable growth to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy for Commercial and Personal Injury Insurance, aligned with the company's vision for 2030.
  • Drive profitable growth and assist in achieving financial and strategic targets through the provision of performance metrics and insights.
  • Provide deep insights using advanced analytics and data science techniques to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Pricing and DET teams to deliver a single data source and continuous build of portfolio and pricing analytics data layer.
  • Support CPI teams in various analytics initiatives and provide ad-hoc analytical support as needed.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Business, Actuarial, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant analytical and leadership experience in the insurance or financial industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAS and at least intermediate-level proficiency in Python/R.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, backed by demonstrable experience and successful productionization/deployment.
  • Leadership skills and experience in leading a team of highly qualified analysts.
  • Solid understanding of insurance data, advanced analytics, and modeling techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of key financial drivers of insurance portfolios and how they impact financial results.
